Best for pages where text or visual assets are stuck in an image

Supports GPT Image, NotebookLM, AI-generated images, image-based slides, screenshots, image PDFs, and PNG/JPG slide exports. Standard conversion exports a background layer plus editable text boxes for copy edits, number changes, translation, and typo fixes. When you need icons, shapes, decorations, or background assets, switch to PPT element pack to download a ZIP of layered transparent images.

Exports backgrounds at the PDF's original clarity and uses PNG to reduce compression loss; files will be larger and processing slower.

Batch upload PDF / PNG / JPG, up to 10 files per batch. Free uploads: 35MB per file; paid or redemption-code uploads: up to 100MB per file. Large files may take longer to upload and convert. Batch mode supports Standard convert, AI text removal, and Watermark only; upload one file at a time for Manual review and Element assets ZIP. Batch files enter the processing queue fairly one by one; upload urgent files separately. Current conversion is more stable for Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, and Japanese. For other languages, you can first use the free normal conversion to evaluate the result.

How standard conversion reconstructs one page

Think of the standard PPTX output as a background layer plus a text layer. The background layer keeps the original visual appearance, while the text layer lets you edit text directly in PPT.

1. Original page
Original PDF page with non-editable text

This is the PDF page or image you uploaded. At this stage, the page behaves like a flat image, so the text usually cannot be edited directly.

2. Extracted background layer
Extracted background layer with text removed and inpainted

The system removes text as much as possible and fills the background back in. Charts, lines, icons, shapes, and decorative visuals stay here.

3. Extracted text layer
Extracted text layer with OCR-rebuilt text boxes

Detected text is rebuilt into text boxes, while position, size, color, bold, and italic styling are restored as closely as possible.

4. Final PPTX after merging
Final PPTX combining background and text layers

When you open the PPTX, it stays visually close to the original page, but underneath it becomes a background image plus editable text boxes.

5. Text becomes editable

You can update headings, body text, numbers, translations, and typos. The page is not fully converted into freely movable native PPT shapes.

Good fit and limitations

Great for turning screenshot-like or image-based slides into PPTX files with editable text.

Great when you want to preserve the original layout and only change text, numbers, or translations.

In standard PPTX conversion, charts, logos, lines, decorations, shapes, and other non-text visuals remain part of the background image.

Use the PPT element pack if you need reusable visual assets; it exports layered transparent images for manual rebuilding, not a fully reconstructed PPTX.

Frequently asked questions

These questions can help you quickly decide whether 2pptx is a good fit for your files.

How do I edit text inside AI-generated images or image-based slides?

GPT Image, NotebookLM, and similar tools often create pages as flat images, so the text cannot be edited like normal PPT text boxes. 2pptx detects the text with OCR, cleans the background where possible, rebuilds detected text as editable text boxes, and exports a PPTX.

How do I convert an image-based PDF into an editable PPT?

Upload your image-based PDF or screenshot to 2pptx.com. The system splits each page into a background layer and a text layer: the background layer keeps the original look, while the text layer rebuilds OCR-detected text into editable text boxes. The result is a PPTX that preserves the visual layout while making the text editable.

Are my uploaded files safe, and how long are they stored?

Uploaded files are used only for conversion. Processed files are automatically deleted within 24 hours. Files are transmitted over HTTPS and handled only by the service and its required infrastructure providers for storage and delivery.

Is 2pptx free to use right now?

2pptx offers free normal conversion with a daily free upload limit per IP. When the limit is used, try again tomorrow or choose paid enhanced conversion to continue. Enhanced-use packages generate redemption codes for eligible enhancements such as original-quality background and better paragraph editing.

Can I edit charts, icons, and shapes in the converted PPTX?

In standard PPTX conversion, text is rebuilt as editable text boxes. Charts, icons, shapes, logos, and other non-text visuals usually remain in the background image and cannot be edited like native objects. If you need separate visual assets, use PPT element pack to download a ZIP and import the assets into PPT manually.

What if some elements should not be recognized as text, or some text is missed?

The current workflow is fully automated. If logos, watermarks, or decorative background text are mistakenly recognized and removed, or if some text is missed during detection and rebuilding, please contact support@2pptx.com and describe the changes you need. We will reply as soon as possible.

What file formats and sizes does 2pptx support?

2pptx accepts PDF, PNG, and JPG files. Free uploads are limited to 35MB per file; paid users or redemption-code users can upload files up to 100MB. Large files may take longer to upload and convert.
